Microsystems Research Centre Berlin-Adlershof

Construction of a new laboratory building at the technology park in Berlin-Adlershof.

Wista Management GmbH is the project developer, investor and operator/lessor for the new building. The aim is to attract innovative companies as users and tenants. Synergy effects are to be created among the users, which will give rise to a productive space for research and development.

Individual areas will be made available for lease featuring separate consumption cost metering (also for the ventilation system). The cleanroom area will be divisible into at least eight units, with partition walls demarcating the rented space as cleanroom partition walls and suspended installation ceilings for subsequent installation by the tenant. The laboratory space is designed as a separate rental unit together with the office spaces. The individual laboratories are at least 40 m² in size, whereby the room height is a minimum of 3 m. The chemical laboratories are equipped so that only minor alterations are required before operations can begin, i.e. one fume hood has been planned per laboratory along with the according laboratory benches. The project also takes the surrounding grounds featuring recreational facilities and art installations into account.

The project has been awarded a silver certificate in green building by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
