Building entrance
AREVA GmbH is housed in a series of three elongated 7-storey buildings in Erlangen, which contain offices and a library as well as a building technology department.
We were tasked with conducting a technical due diligence review and preparing an environmental expert opinion examining the following aspects:
- Status report on:
1.1. Property development
1.2. Supporting structures
1.3. Building façade
1.4. Interior fittings
1.5. Technical building systems
1.6. Fire protection and safety technology
- Assessment of urgent repairs to the structure
- Assessment of maintenance costs over 10–15 years
- Assessment of potential for conversions
The Paris-based Orano Group is a state-owned industrial enterprise active in the manufacture, sale, etc. of nuclear engineering equipment and fuel. It was created in the wake of restructuring of the formerly publicly listed Areva Group. The French government owns a majority share in the company.
Due to significant financial losses in different segments, the former Areva Group was recapitalised by the French government in 2017 with € 2.5 billion. From 2018, the 75.5% of the reactor business previously operated under the name Areva NP was continued under the name Framatome GmbH.

- The construction project consists of three buildings (10, 27 and 28) and is located at Paul-Gossen-Straße 100 in Erlangen.
