Refurbishment and expansion of the retail area
Baden-Baden railway station in Baden-Württemberg is today a stop on the Rhine Valley Railway. It is regularly served by regional and long-distance trains operated by the German national rail company, Deutsche Bahn (DB). It is also a stop on two lines of the Stadtbahn Karlsruhe, operated by the bus and train operator Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft mbH (AVG). The station has five platform tracks. All of the platforms can be accessed via two underpasses. The station building houses a DB travel centre, two cafés, a bookshop and a hotel.
